Healthy Living Recipe of the Day: "Grilled Herb Hamburgers"

1 pound/450 g lean ground beef
1/2 cup/120 mL panko breadcrumbs
1 egg
2 tablespoons/30 mL lemon juice
2 tablespoons/30 mL fresh basil, chopped
1 tablespoon/15 mL fresh thyme, chopped
1 tablespoon/15 mL fresh rosemary, chopped
1 tablespoon/15 mL chives, chopped
1 teaspoon/5 mL Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon/2.5 mL sea salt
1/2 teaspoon/2.5 mL black pepper
Prep Time: 12 minutes
Cook Time: 16 minutes
Total Time: 28 minutes
Yield: Makes 6 burgers
PREPARATION
Preheat grill for medium-high heat. In a large mixing bowl, combine meat, herbs, bread crumbs, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper until well mixed. Split mixture into eight equal portions. Shape into rectangular patties about 5-6 inches long. Place patties on a lightly oiled grill grate and cook for 6-8 minutes on each side. Remove from heat and serve on buns or sliced baguette.
