Jameel(/’juh-Meel’/; born June 8, 1991) is an American recording artist, songwriter, record producer, entrepreneur and fashion designer from Atlanta, Georgia. Jameel first gained prominence as a songwriter& performer inside of his community in the Decatur area; he achieved local recognition for his work with A Tribe From Decatur, a hiphop fusion band that came together at Avondale High School. His style of composition is unique in that it samples from artists of many decades & generations including 1970s R&B, baroque pop, trip hop, arena rock, folk, alternative, electronica, synthpop, industrial, and classical music.

Jameel the Great studies Civil Engineering at Savannah State University and is professionally pursuing his music career under the umbrella of Ellohbee.
