Ibeyi pronounced as "ee-bey-ee" , which means "twins". I've been informed of them through pandora and tumblr for quite some time now. They are a French-Cuban musical duo by the name of Lisa-Kaindé Diaz and Naomi Diaz. Lisa is the lead voice and also plays the piano but Naomi does her thanggg on traditional percussion instruments. Ibeyi sings their songs in English and Yoruba. At the age of 20, they've already released their self-titled debut album. The album pays tribute to their deceased father and the track Yanira immortalizes the duo’s older sister, who died in 2013. You gotta' check out their soundcloud, pandora station, and subscribe to their "YouTube channel" "Ibeyiofficial".
